A. 2 Ways to Setup Streaming Service

1. How to configure your existing streaming software
  1. Change Encoder Type to MP3 Lame
  2. Server Type: Shoutcast
  3. Server IP: Enter your Shoutcast URL.
  4. Enter the Shoutcast Port#.
  5. Enter the Password for the Shoutcast.
  6. Click OK.
2. Download and set up new streaming software
Click the link below to download OddCast: http://bit.ly/oddcastV3

Step 1
Unzip, and open up the file called "OddcastV3Standalone" (you can also create a shortcut to this app). The application will open and should look like this.

Step 2
Press the "Add Encoder" button, and a default encoder will appear. Double-click (or right-click, Configure) to edit the properties.

Step 3
Encoder Properties
  1. Change Encoder Type to MP3 Lame
  2. Server Type: Shoutcast
  3. Server IP: Enter your Shoutcast URL.
  4. Enter the Shoutcast Port#.
  5. Enter the Password for the Shoutcast.
  6. Click OK.

Step 4
Start playing your audio on the computer, then Double-click (or right-click, Connect) the Encoder to start streaming.

Once connected, Oddcast will indicate the speed of the Transfer Rate (Kilobytes per second), and will also indicate the audio level on the Peak Meter.

If you do not see the levels on the Peak Meter moving, click on it to enable the Peak Meter, it will show you if Oddcast is detecting the audio. To verify the stream is working, open up the Shoutcast URL (and port#) in a media player, or simply enter the Shoutcast URL in your browser to view the status.

Note: Oddcast creates a log file, and after a long period of continuous play, this log file can become quite large (a few days can lead to a 5gb file size). It is a good idea to delete this file occasionally. To do so, disconnect your Oddcast stream, close the application, then delete the file called "oddcastv3standalone.log", (if you cannot delete the file, you may need to end the Oddcast process itself), then you can open up Oddcast and resume streaming.
